“I’m a big
big girl, in the big big word…” Amy and I always sang together
but it all changed one day…
Amy was a girl who liked English songs
just like me. We had many similar interests, so we become very
good friends and always went to school together. One day , our
school held a music competition. Of course, both Amy and I joined
it. We formed a group called “Green Apple.” As I predicted, our
performance was loved by most of students and we won the championship.
The next day, the school gave us a CD as the prize. The CD was
so good that we loved it very much. Amy said we should keep it
and listen to it in turns. But I disagreed—I thought we should
have a game to decide who would get it. We play a game called“
stone, scissors or fabric” and I lost. “ The game is unfair,”
I said angrily, “ we should play another round.” Amy heard that,
then gave the CD to me, saying nothing. Since then she hasn’t
wanted to talk to me and the smiles are gone from her face.
Later on, I realized that I was selfish
when dealing with that situation. Before it happened, I thought
Amy and I would be lifelong friends. There was a time we were
hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder and arm in arm. Afraid to face
my mistake I kept silent. It was difficult to say “ I’m sorry.”
Time went by, our friendship was lost.
Now we are in different senior high schools.
I often miss our past and her nice voice. I want to say “sorry”
to her , I want to cry…
Amy, I’ m sorry. I’m certain that I have lost a good friend. You,
like a mirror, let me find my shortcomings. Sorry, sorry, sorry…
Can you hear me? Can you forgive me? I’m waiting for your answer.
